The following are things you need to know prior to your dog's first stay:

-Dogs can be dropped off anytime within our office hours,However, we do require a call prior to drop off. This enables us to be prepared and  not take on  heavy tasks, walk our current boarders, so we’ll be free to assist you.
-An Evaluation is required prior to the first boarding or daycare stay . We will do a thorough assessment of your dog and tell you whether or not K9C is a good fit for them.
Housemates and related dogs can play together, unless we see any potential issues.  This is for the safety of all the dogs and Staff on the property.

-All dogs between the age of six months and eight months, must be spayed or neutered.
-All dogs must have current vaccination records, from a U.S. Licensed Veterinarian. WE DO NOT ACCEPT  RECORDS FROM OTHER COUNTRIES, FEED STORES OR SELF ADMINISTERED.

ASK YOUR VETERINARIAN ABOUT THE FLU SHOT.

Vaccinations include Rabies, DHPP and Bordetella (to prevent Canine Cough). Frequency is based on your vet's requirements. Any pup that becomes a regular at K9C must have a Bordetella Vaccine, every six months. Have your vet fax the records directly to us prior to drop off OR bring copies to u,before the drop off date. Our fax number is (956) 230-0724. If your Veterinarian does not recommend vaccinating at this time, due to health reasons, please send a note from the Vet stating their preferences. You are responsible if your pup becomes ill.

During the warmer months it is highly recommended that all dogs be on flea prevention such as Program, Sentinel, Frontline Plus, Advantage, or Revolution. Tick prevention is also highly recommended. We are not liable (responsible), if you notice Ticks or Fleas, after a stay with us. There is no way to know where they pick them up,or if they had them prior to drop off.  We spray continually, since we are located in the Country. Please keep your dog protected.
All dogs must wear a nylon or leather collar with a name tag. Please take your leash home with you.

No dog is allowed to leave K9C in the back of a pick-up truck unless in a securely tied down crate, If you choose to do this, K9C is not liable for accidents.
Any breed of dog can be evaluated for boarding or day care. Every breed has to be evaluated on their first stay starts and any breed could be turned away for behavior reasons, or past aggression history. If you have any questions, comments or concerns, please email k9consultants4U@gmail.com

NO DAY CARE ON WEEKENDS,ONLY MONDAY THROUGH THURSDAY!!!

Why are visits by appointment ?

Yes, most folks will say: "If you need an appointment and no walk-ins are allowed, that's a red flag."

While we do agree, overall, our small size and no staff, changes those rues, for us. let us explain:)

We are trying to minimize the times during the day that people are coming and going, as it causes disruption and disruption can cause stress. We want to be able to make the most of the day for the dogs and also keep the atmosphere calm and relaxed.

We strive to have the pups out pretty much all day and we do need rest times as well. Because we are a mom & pop small business, we do not have staff, just family that helps out sometimes.

There is not boundary to separate pups that come in or going out from the pups that are out in the yard/play area,so we must get all the dogs inside and crated before we allow or accommodate any visits.

It IS VERY disruptive ,not just for the pups but for us as well. We have a specific schedule that we follow, to accommodate, bathing, feeding and training time.

Any deviation from that schedule, throws  everything off and causes major stress, for US and the PUPS.

Not to mention, pups that are leaving require baths  and if that were your pup, not bathed and you paid for the service, you'd be upset as well.

Training has to be stopped and feeding times are delayed, so guess what? We'll be up later in the evening for potty breaks...not fun being outside, tired, at midnight. Unannounced visits THROWS EVERYTHING OFF  and we also need to rest, to allow us to be on point, when caring for our pups and yours as well :)

THANK YOU FOR YOUR CARING ,SENSITIVITY AND UNDERSTANDING.
